Isn't it strange that the only time the government is vigilant is when the elections are approaching?Take a look at our sociaty for a moment....The only time our voices are heard is when television crews and political parties are in town!We have become such a gullible society that we believe any lies that we are fed!I remember being dragged to an ANC manifesto in East-London last year by my friends, solely because there was free food and entertainment!Bear in mind that impoverished individuals were also present to join in the celebrations!Being foolish mortals, they believed that voting for the ANC would provide them with food and other luxuries! It is only fair to place the blame on the political parties that make unfulfilled promises. We vote for a political party of our choice, and the results.......STILL THERE IS NO CHANGE!Our country is falling apart and the fat-cats are fighting with one another rather than finding solutions to build our nation.
Crime is growing at a rapid pace and those in government are also following the trend!Corruption has become second nature to governmental officials, and the Justice System is turning a blind eye!We are all regarded equal but George Orwell was correct in saying that "We are all equal but some are more equal than others". A regular individual could be charged with the same offence as a governmental official but the sentencing won't be the same only because the other can offer more opportunities to the table!Greed is so sickening as a result, governmental officials forget the people that placed them in high positions!Who can we then blame for the increasing crime rate when it is not being properly addressed?
Voting is a way forward but our votes are not all based on the same reasoning! As a nation we need to find a proper basis of our voting system! We need to see change and not be afraid of being bullied by women or the white race! Its time to see change!
