Forceful removals of homeless people

Hundreds of homeless people in Nelson Mandela Bay are being uprooted from old buildings and moved across Port Elizabeth to be dumped back on the streets. This act of forced removals by the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has been practised all over Port Elizabeth for the development of the city.Although the initiative will benefit Port Elizabeth it has also caused an outcry for the alleged displaced victims.

Most of the homeless victims prepare sleeping sites in cemetries or under nearby bridges. Others are drowned in sorrows because of the Municipality's uncarrying attitude. The displaced victims have been left to fend for themselves in already harsh conditions. They have also been warned by the Municipality against entering the restricted buildings. Homeless victims live in constant fear of the police because of recent activities.

Could this act by the Municipality be inhumane or is there another alternative for the homeless victims? This is what some homeless people called home, now they live in even harsher conditions.
